2. There is a verbal commitment that the 2008 monetary support for Family Chapters will be fully funded.  However, the commitment for 2007 remains 1.7 million dollars less. This will have serious implications and will reduce the RFA by 50%.

3. Gary called in from the Building Bridges Summit and reported that it was an intense and productive meeting at the day and a half marker.  He reported that there are residential programs committed to system of care values that are effectively including the family voice.  The meeting is an important step in spreading System of care throughout children’s services and forming partnerships between residential facilities, community based services, youth and families.

4. Gary announced the Websites Hot Topic section. Early childhood and school age children information have been on the Hot Topic section.  He said that feedback on the website has been positive and that it is a work in process.  He responded to questions about how to efficiently get items posted and stated that if they did not get posted within two weeks to send them to him.

5. Gary announced that Bob Friedman was been appointed Acting Dean of the Florida Mental Health Institute.  It is a coup for Children’s mental health to have one of their own in such an important position within Mental Health.  Congratulations Bob!

2.  Discussion on agenda items for Orlando face to face Meeting:

1. Lisa Rubenstein suggested that we make the CQI process an agenda item including all aspects and the implications. Angela will present to the group on the use of the report card/data driven approach to designing TA plans for sites. All Partners will present their relevant CQI information.

2. Keith Pirtle suggested checking the last agenda and looking for areas that we had agreed to return to this year.

3. Updates from committees in Bullet Form

4.  Discussion of our current work groups.  Do we need new ones? Do we need to rethink the scope of work?  Discuss: Implications for the strategic plan.

3. Issues or Planning details regarding the Training institutes:
Gary Macbeth reminded us that the Institutes are packed. He reminded us to register immediately and to really check the Agenda and all of the pre- institute events.

4.  Feedback on the Website:
Gary Mac Beth asked how to most efficiently get information on the site and updated.  Gary Blau said it should be sent to the SOC email address or Contact Us link on the website.  Gary Blau stated that if you have not been able to get information on or changed within two weeks send it to him and he will take care of it.

5.  Discussion of communications survey:
Maria Rodriguez gave the history of the survey which came out of a discussion on the last call.  It had been mentioned that sites needed to learn about the CCC as a way of improving their understanding of the system.  The survey was meant to be a tool for the CCC members to communicate what they feel is important about the CCC before we go further in describing it to all the sites and others.  There was a discussion of the CCC with Sai-ling stating that it is an advisory board and Keith reminding us that communities need to know of its existence likening it to a wraparound team for the branch. Lisa felt that it gave a new resource to sites by having them aware of another avenue for their input.

Marjorie requested that people submit their surveys by July 10th and to make sure that they responded with 2 bulleted responses.  She will collate the surveys and they will go back to the communications committee who will share the outcome with the CCC.

5. Remember our face to face meeting on Friday July 14th at 6:00pm -8:30 pm in Florida.

6.Partner Sharing.

Regenia Hicks shared information about CQI pilots which will happen through the 4 RTACS and start up team process which is almost completed.  Integrated CQI will be included in Federal Site visits as well.  Data will be utilized to support choices in TA planning for individual sites.

Theresa King shared wonderful news about the Cleveland Parent Advisory Council which now has parent representatives on all governance committees for their local system of care.  Parent voice in their community is being heard at all levels and capacities.

Gary MacBeth presented the exciting information that the Cultural And Linguistic Competency Primer gathered its best thinkers with NAMBHA at a meeting on June 5th and6th to start the process of Developing the content for the primer.  It will go to the next level,  and will be a how to resource rather than just a consolidation of resources.

Barbara Friesen shared that the Youth Stigma Survey conducted            by the Harris Pollsters and designed by Portland State will be available for sites and for release.  Maria Rodriguez played a key part in talking to Harris who will release some of the data and interact with sites to also share it.

Maria and Lisa shared that fact sheets for families and youth on ADHD, Bipolar, and system of care are available in Spanish.  The branch is leading the way in linguistic competency through its material translations.  Kudos to all.

Youth Guide:  Move is developing a Youth Guided System of Care manual that will be entirely youth designed.  It is an outstanding accomplishment and speaks to the commitment of Move to help us truly become youth driven.

Brigette Manteuffel announced that System of Care briefs have passed inspection and can be distributed.  There will be a link on  the website for the briefs.  This includes the briefs through 2004.
